CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

How to get my child to Pray?

As your child grows up, teach them to look for opportunities to talk with God anywhere, anytime, and anyplace. As your child delights in splashing through a puddle of water, they may begin to thank God for the rain, and you might thank God for being able to afford to buy boots. As your child's conversation with God becomes more frequent, they will discover that prayer is talking to God and listening to His voice. As you can see in 1 Samuel 3:4-5, God called Samuel as a child. Yes, he talks to children too.

Tips For Parents:

The best way to teach a child is to start with God's principles. God told us to train a child how he should go; when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

Teach them about God's Love. Matthew 19:13-15

Teach them to obey you, their parents. Ephesians 6:1

Show them love as well as teach them, love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Teach them to respect the house of God and their Pastor. Ecclesiastes 5:1-3 and Hebrews 13:17

A MESSAGE FROM OUR YOUTH DIRECTOR

"I once was a child, then a parent, and now a grandparent; I have found that learning about God at an early age is very important. We teach that importance here, mixed with fun and learning. May you and your child experience God in ways you have never experienced because He is only a prayer away." Min. Ursel Tucker
